MOOD HUT presents: IAN WYATT and JULIAN HOU

China Cloud Studios is very excited to bring the return of our music series COMMUNAL SOUNDS. This series will bring a unique evening of music every month. Each event will be a collaboration between China Cloud Studios and a guest curator.

August 23rd our guest collaborator is Mood Hut! With performances from IAN WYATT and JULIAN YI-ZHONG HOU

IAN WYATT is the maskless incarnation of the local artist known as Local Artist/Slow Riffs: an amalgamation of a decades long path along the road of music that has led listeners through flowering tascam fields, perc-postive pressure builders, and thirteenth floor bachelor funk. Now, with a new album on the ever expanding horizon, Ian Wyatt will perform new works live at the intimate, independent and in Chinatown venue known as The China Cloud.

JULIAN YI-ZHONG HOU. Julian's most recent album Grass Drama layers together bedroom folk recordings, medieval composition sensibilities, timbres and textures from Chinese soap operas, and midi orchestration. Julian will be performing new songs from his upcoming album set to be released in 2025.
